Facundo Argañaraz Divines the Unstable Future of Aesthetics

Posted by Zane Johnston on Mar 21, 2012 | Comments (0)

Argentinian born artist Facundo Argañaraz will display Rapture Ready: Space Planning and Aesthetics at The Popular Workshop starting Friday March 23 and continuing through April 27.

In his new exhibit, Argañaraz explores contemporary aesthetics and reflects upon the fluidity of modern constructs and the idea that what’s considered to be artistic content never remains constant.

With his new work, which includes paintings, sculptures, and works on paper, Argañaraz utilizes mark making tools and found ephemera and ready-made forms to creates visual forms that embody the impossibility of reproducing existing art forms and the equally salient concept of pushing the boundaries of aesthetics to make something new.
