“Make Love”: San Francisco Community Art Installation

Posted by Francisca Stewart on Jan 25, 2012 | Comments (0)

This weekend (January 28th and 29th), Daniel Castro Photography will be hosting a communal art project, “Make Love.”

“Make Love” is a fundraiser for SF Camerawork. There will be an open-air photography studio. Everyone in the community is invited to partake in this installation piece. ‘Lip portraits’ will be collected from the public and used to create a large six-foot structure that spells out ‘LOVE.’

The ‘LOVE’ structure as well as individual ‘lip portraits’ will be put up for auction at SF Camerawork near the end of February. The money raised in the auction will go toward their youth photography mentor program, “First Exposures.”
All ages. Free and open to the public. Held at Yerba Buena Gardens in San Francisco from 10 am – 4 pm.
