SF Shorts Film Fest, Sept. 8-10

Posted by Martin Malloy on Sep 8, 2011 | Comments (0)

From September 8-10, the Roxie Theater will be showing The San Francisco International Film Festival of Short Films. It may be a long winded title but the festival specializes in, what they call, “bite-sized bits of delicious film” from all over the world.

Intended to create immediate, emotional response through these short films, the festival is split into 7 different “Film Mixes.” This year’s festival features short films from 20 countries, with over half coming from outside the US. Mixing genres, stories and cultures these short films aren’t the kinds of movies you normally bring a date to. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t. Together you’ll be exposed to a new type of film that will force you to think and react. Plus, you’ll have plenty to talk about after each program.
